My favorite song
Someone asked me earlier what my favorite song was earlier and I couldn't answer. I had to think about it and finally I narrowed it down. If you ask me tomorrow it might change!

McCain supporter attack was a hoax...
The woman who said that she was attacked because of her McCain bumper sticker made it up, and not only that, she is a campaign volunteer!
I had my doubts when I saw the picture of the B carved on her face was backwards-like she used a mirror?!

Rare footage of London Circa 1904
Via Sky News
An exerpt:
It's a film that's been hidden from view for more than a century and now I have been invited to see London life on the big screen - 1904-style.
The historian stumbled on the footage, 104 years after it was filmed, while doing a routine search in the Australian National Film Archive.
This is only a little bit of the 12 minute silent documentary called Living London, made by American film pioneer Charles Urban.

Poor horse!
"The young filly needed to be freed from the tree after curiosity got the better of it and it wedged its head between separate sections of the trunk.
The horse, called Gracie, was unable to free itself and could have been in danger were it not for a passer-by who was able to come to the rescue after he heard the horse whinnying .
Jason Harschbarger, a neighbour in the town of Pullman, West Virginia, USA, arrived at the scene which resembled the image of Winnie the Pooh getting stuck in the honey tree.
Mr Harschbarger collected his tools and was able to carefully set the horse free by using a chainsaw to slowly cut the wood around its neck.
However, before he did so, he was able to take a few photographs.
Fortunately for Gracie, she was able to escape her ordeal with only a few minor injuries and, according to Mr Harschbarger, is on the road to recovery.
Following his rescue operation, Mr Harschbarger told a local television station: "She has a few cuts on her face and ear.
"Last I heard her jaw was a little dislocated but I think it is healing up and she can eat on her own again."
It remains unclear why Gracie put her head into the gap." story via Telegraph.co.uk and Bits and Pieces

Fear, bigotry, racism and hatred...
This is all over the news today:
And their point is? Fear, bigotry, racism and hatred. It is getting to the point of ridiculous that they are using fear to discredit instead of using the issues. If this is what a party is reduced to in desperation to garner votes, it's pathetic and I cannot believe that people are falling for it! Some of their own are even jumping ship!
If I were a republican I would be so offended being referred to as "Joe six-pack" and having my own party instill fear and hatred to garner my vote. People are angry, stressed and scared about our economic health and we get this crap from them instead of reassurance? Then on top of it being called unpatriotic because I don't live where Palin happens to be visiting?
I guess the Socialism angle isn't working to well:
I think they have a lot to be worried about.

It wasn't meant to be..
I was still torn on whether to keep the puppy earlier today. Rick's son Brian was over and was holding her and she starting having a seizure. I held her and she finally came out of it and acted normal as if nothing had happened.
I had a dog, Bouncer, who had seizures for years and she lived to be 14 so I wasn't too worried about that being a factor although I was worried why the puppy just started having one.
A little later, Rick was holding her, petting on her. She started having another one. Rick handed her to me and about 30 seconds later she was back to normal and while I was kissing on her she went totally limp and died in my arms.
I tried doing CPR but it didn't work. I am still in shock. It brought back so much, having just lost Randy. It brought back losing Bouncer and Reggie who I lost and had tried CPR on him as well.
She was such a cute little precious puppy and I'm so freaking mad and upset that this happened.

To puppy or not to puppy
This is the puppy I woke up to today. Rick brought her home in a campaign to get me to fall in love with her and want to keep her. She is a mix between a chihuahua and a terrier of some sort. Still undecided...
Literal versions of two 80's songs
These are fun, whoever made these use the video and add funny lyrics of their own for literal translations of what is going on in the video...

Fossil HIV
Using a technique called molecular clock analysis, they were able to plot the two viral sequences' evolutionary path back in time to determine when they diverged.
They concluded the strains evolved from a common ancestor that emerged in Africa near the beginning of the twentieth century around 80 years before the disease appeared in western populations.
